❤️ Sinus — Isola Gnocchi + Rao Marinara + Follow Your Heart Dairy Free Parmesan 🩺

🩺 Symptoms (H = Health Check)

Today’s patients: Isola Gnocchi, Rao’s Marinara Sauce, and Follow Your Heart Dairy Free Parmesan.

🗒 Chart notes:

  • 🐔 Costco Rotisserie Chicken (bonus protein add-on): my old faithful! I’ve been eating this for years. As someone with a history of low B vitamins, this chicken gives me a boost of B12 — super important for keeping my nervous system healthy.

  • 🍅 Rao Marinara Sauce: 100 calories, 7g fat, 6g carbs, 2g protein, 1g fiber. Tomato-based = inflammation fighter. Bonus: tomatoes contain lycopene (thanks, CDC.gov, for the light reading).

  • 🥔 Isola Gnocchi: gluten free, vegan, non-GMO, 70% potatoes. ½ cup = 5g protein, 1g fiber, a smidge of calcium/iron, and a little Vit C. Fun nutrition pearl: foods grown above the ground (like broccoli) tend to be lower in carbs, while below-ground foods (like potatoes) are starchier. Doesn’t mean one is “better” — they serve different body needs. For me, potatoes = iron + fiber → healthy blood cells + happy GI tract.

  • 🧀 Follow Your Heart Dairy Free Parmesan: dairy free, no gluten ingredients. 1 oz = 100 calories, 3.5g fat, high in calcium 💪. Since I can’t do dairy, I love products like this that help me sneak in calcium to keep my bones strong and lower my risk of osteoporosis.

🍳 E = Exam (Prep + Eating Experience)

I followed doctor’s orders (aka package directions):

  1. Boiled the gnocchi until they floated like little potato balloons.

  2. Heated the chicken + Rao sauce in a skillet.

  3. Combined everything into one happy pan.

  4. Sprinkled with dairy free parm and added fresh basil 🌿 (aka camera bling).

👅 Tasting notes:

  • Gnocchi = soft + fluffy cloud dumplings.

  • Rao = NEVER disappoints (rich, tomatoey, balanced).

  • Chicken = forever sinus rhythm.

  • DF Parm = added that salty parm kick I remember from the old days.

💸 A = Assessment (Cost + Access)

  • Isola Gnocchi → $6.99 (Whole Foods, Hinsdale, IL)

  • Follow Your Heart DF Parm → $4.91 (Whole Foods)

  • Rao Sauce → $11.99 for 2 at Costco → $5.99 per jar (ALWAYS buy here, Whole Foods markup is wild).

  • Costco Rotisserie Chicken → $4.99 (the deal that never flatlines 🩺🍗).

❤️ R = Rhythm (Final Verdict)

Overall dish = SINUS RHYTHM ❤️ (balanced, delicious, repeatable).

  • Rao Sauce = Tachycardia ⚡ (always have in stock).

  • Costco Chicken = Tachycardia ⚡ (forever MVP).

  • Gnocchi + DF Parm = strong sinus, reliable back-ups.

⏱️ T = Treatment Plan (Would I Buy Again?)

✅ Yes, I’ll definitely make this again.
✅ Always have Rao + rotisserie chicken on hand.
✅ DF Parm is solid, though I might test the powdered version next time.
✅ Mom taste test pending 👩‍🦳 (she loves pasta, dumplings, and anything that looks like gnocchi).

Convenient, comforting, and easy to throw together = HEART healthy meal in my book.

Live safe/happy/healthy,
— The Gluten & Dairy Free NP 💗
