🥼 Sweet Tooth Checkup: Cocomels Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Bites Review
H = Health
Vitals first! 🩺 These little caramel bites claim: USDA Organic, non-GMO, made without dairy, gluten, or artificial ingredients. The catch? They’re made on equipment that also processes milk, peanuts, eggs, wheat, tree nuts, and sesame. While they’re not certified gluten-free, the FDA requires products labeled “gluten-free” to test under 20ppm. I’ve had them several times and never had a reaction—but remember, that’s my body, not yours.
Nutrition charting 📋:
• 140 calories per serving
• 8g fat (5g saturated)
• 12g sugar (aka: hello sweet tooth!)
• 1g fiber
• 1g protein
• Plus 1mg iron + 95mg potassium
Do I eat these for “nutrition”? Nope. I eat them because certain times of the month call for chocolate + caramel STAT. 😉
E = Exam (Taste Test)
These are tiny spheres of joy. The outside is smooth, creamy dark chocolate. The inside? Sticky, chewy caramel that hits allll the right notes. Add in the sprinkle of sea salt, and it’s basically my love language: salty + sweet. 🧂🍫
WARNING: These are hard to stop at one serving!!!!!!
A = Accessibility
I snagged mine at Jewel for $3.99 (yep, kinda pricey for a small bag—but worth it for a treat). You can also find them online via Cocomels’ website.
R = Recommendation
Verdict: Sinus tachycardia ❤️🔥—because my heart races when I eat them, but in the best way. I almost always have a bag stashed at home… unless I’ve “accidentally” eaten it all. I do have to remind myself to slow down though—sugar and saturated fat don’t exactly scream wellness exam.
T = Treatment Plan
This is a house favorite. My mom knows these well and loves caramel just as much as I do. She’s always happy when she spots a bag in my pantry. Honestly? These bites are dangerous in the best way.
I hope your day is safe/happy/healthy:)
