🥼 Snack Exam: No Cow Dipped Protein Bar (Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Review)
H = Health
When I check the “vitals” on this bar, the packaging flexes a solid 20g of plant protein 💪 (great for my muscles and tissues), just 1g of sugar, and 4 net carbs. It clocks in at 200 calories with a whopping 14g of fiber—which, sidenote, is clutch since adults need about 20–25g a day. So this little bar already gets me more than halfway there. 🙌
Label check: this bar is certified gluten-free (yay!), non-GMO, and dairy-free. BUT ⚠️ it is made on equipment that processes soy, milk, wheat, eggs, and tree nuts. Normally that’s a red flag for me, but since it’s certified gluten-free, I trust they’re batch-testing to meet FDA standards (<20ppm gluten). Still, this is where you gotta do your own homework and listen to your own body—because I’m just sharing what I eat, not giving you medical advice.
E = Exam (Taste Test)
The outside: a smooth chocolate coating 🍫. The inside: a firm bar with a creamy-ish peanut butter middle (not ooey-gooey, but not chalky either). I love that the dark chocolate doesn’t leave that funky aftertaste some dairy-free chocolates can have. Peanut butter does its thing though—I definitely needed water nearby to help it go down. Overall: tasty, satisfying, not my absolute fave flavor from No Cow, but still a good one.
A = Accessibility
I grabbed mine at Jewel for $3.49. You can also find them at Mariano’s, Amazon, or straight from the No Cow website (not an affiliate link, just FYI).
R = Recommendation/Rating
Verdict? This one gets a ✅ normal sinus rhythm from me. If I’m running errands and can’t access safe gluten- and dairy-free eats, I’d keep this in my snack rotation. Is it my ride-or-die flavor? Nah. But it’s reliable, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
T = Treatment Plan
Would I recommend to my mom and sister? Yep! Mom loves PB + chocolate, so she’d probably enjoy this flavor. My sister? She’s more adventurous and might go for their Blueberry Cobbler instead (which I haven’t tried yet, but it’s on my list). As I always say—you do you, boo. Stay safe/happy/healthy. 💓
