✨ HEART Exam: Kind Protein Bar (Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate)
🩺 H = Health
Label check! ✅ This bar is gluten-free (meets <20ppm testing) and non-GMO verified, though not certified gluten-free. Each bar = 200 calories, 7g protein (yay muscles 💪), 14g fat (mostly the good kind that support heart health and can improve cholesterol: 2.5g polyunsaturated + 6g monounsaturated), 3g fiber, and 9g sugar. Bonus points for a smidge of calcium, 6% iron, and 4% potassium.
I’ve eaten Kind bars for years, but not all are dairy-free. Kind, if you’re reading this—pretty please make a gluten + dairy free caramel bar? This nurse mom would swoon. 🙋♀️
🍴 E = Eating
This bar = firm, nutty goodness. Crunch from the nuts, chocolate drizzle on top, and that peanut butter flavor that ties it all together. Slightly salty, perfectly sweet. My only caution: chocolate melts FAST if left in the car/bag. I usually keep mine in a cooler if traveling. Pro tip: don’t wear white pants while snacking. 😉
🛒 A = Accessibility
Purchased at Jewel on sale (10/$10 🙌). Normally $1.50–$2 each, but widely available at grocery stores, Costco (bulk!), and online. I stock up when they’re on sale. My husband keeps a basket of snacks at work—these often make the cut.
❤️🔥 R = Rhythm Rating
Sinus… leaning Tachycardia! I love these bars and almost always have extras in the house. Great for travel, errands, or stashing in purses/diaper bags.
👩👩👧 T = Telling Others
My mom isn’t a “nutty bar” gal, so I won’t share with her. But if a friend asks me for a gluten/dairy free bar rec, Kind is one of my go-tos.
